Youth Theatre Project

The National Youth Arts Trust is piloting the setting up of a new youth theatre project in Ely, Cambridgeshire based at King's Ely.

It is hoped that following the Ely pilot, the National Youth Arts Trust will set up further youth theatre projects in other areas.

Aims

Our aim is to provide access to dance, music and drama to those young people between the ages of 7 and 25.

Background

The current economic climate means that it is becoming increasingly difficult, and often impossible, for children and young people from non-privileged backgrounds to find expression, a voice and in many cases a career in the performing arts.

Resources

Use of King's Ely drama and theatre facilities.

Pupil Involvement

Children aged 13 - 18.

Frequency

Every Saturday afternoon during term time.
