Year 9 Drama Project with Ronald Ross Primary School
Year 9 pupils from Putney High School are involved with devising and delivering drama activities with Ronal Ross Primary school pupils, lead by our Director of Drama.
Aims
- To engage Year 5 pupils in drama, lead by our Year 9 students, who in turn develop leadership and teaching and collaboration skills.
- Excellent preparation through drama lessons, lead by our Director of Drama.
- Our students in Year 9 develop their community and leadership skills, alongside the Primary School pupils who develop their drama skills in energetic and engaging drama lessons.
Background
- Long standing connection with Ronald Ross as we also partner with them in a learning to read programme.
- This project has been running for 3 years, although at the moment, due to Covid H&S restrictions, it cannot happen in person.
Resources
- Teaching time in Putney High School.
- Drama teaching staff.
- There is no financial contribution.
- Our staff and students travel to Ronald Ross school with any resources required, to deliver the programme.
