Year 6 Science Afternoons

Eton College’s Science Department hosted an afternoon of workshops in Biology, Chemistry and Physics for 40 local Year 6 primary school pupils from Grove Academy, Slough.

In biology they investigate owl pellets to discover what the owl had been eating. In physics, after a demonstration involving marshmallows, they investigate buoyancy. While in chemistry, after donning Eton Connect lab coats, they carry out a series of chemical experiments to create different reactions, before creating glow in the dark solutions.
