Dean Close hosts the U11 and U12 Land Rover Rugby Cup Tournament in partnership with Gloucester Rugby Club.

This partnership provides the venue for a very large tournament involving Gloucestershire's club U11 and U12 teams, which benefits a huge number of children.

Background

Dean Close has had a strong working partnership with Gloucester Rugby Club for a number of years and the opportunity was agreed by the Director of Sport and officials at Gloucester.

Resources

Dean Close provides the pitches and facilities for this event as well as the rugby coaching staff members.

Impact

Dean Close continues to be the location of preference for Gloucester.

Pupil Involvement

All pupils involved in this project are connmected to their local rugby club but hundreds of children benefit from the opportunity.
