The Venture Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF)
Over the 2024 summer holidays we open our doors to The Venture Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF).
Over four Wednesdays in August, Bloodhound Education ran a STEM challenge for pupils and parents who were tasked with creating solutions to a space-themed problem. King's students volunteered to help with these events. A total of 123 children and parents attended over these four days.
At the end of August we hosted their annual Summer Festival. With many activities on offer from a climbing wall, to a mini farm, to a drum workshop and bouncy castles, families from across Gloucestershire came together to have a fun day out. Everyone also received a healthy meal before they left.
Impact
The Chief Executive Officer from The Venture commented:
"We just wanted to say a big 'Thank You' for hosting our end of summer HAF Festival. The school is such a perfect venue and really helps to make the event successful. Thank you for working hard to ensure that we had everything we needed - we know it was not easy, particularly with all of the other things you have going on within the school grounds, so it was very much appreciated. You are always so helpful and accommodating and that makes such a difference when planning such a big event.
As always, we really value the great partnership we have with you and look forward to working with you again soon."
