The History Festival: Schools Afternoon

The Gloucester History Festival is a bi-annual event in the city and King's is one of the event sponsors.  We take pupils to listen to the talks and host mini History talks in the Ivor Gurney Hall four times a year.

During the main Festival in September 2024, we hosted the inaugural History Festival Talk for Schools.  Prominent historians Janina Ramirez and Shalina Patel told the stories of four extraordinary women in history.

The free event was open to A-level and GCSE students and 150 students from four local schools attended this fascinating talk.
