The Elms sharing Christmas songs
In December, twenty seven children in Reception visited The Old Vicarage Care Home and Alexandra care home, both in the local area, to share with the elderly residents their Christmas songs. The children also made the residents a Christmas card and shared this with them at the event.
Aims
The children in Reception had been learning songs for their Christmas show and were keen to share these songs with people in the wider community.
Background
Elms Staff visited The Old Vicarage and Alexandra Care Home to enquire as to whether they would like the children to come and share their Christmas songs with the residents. Both Care homes were eager to establish a link with The Elms whereby songs and acting can be shared with residents during the course of the year.
Pupil Involvement
Twenty seven Reception pupils.
Frequency
