St Albans School staff member Governor at the Growing Together Federation
Our Head of Sixth Form at St Albans School, sits on the Curriculum Committee and is the link Governor for Safeguarding.
Aims
G uses his experience of teaching History for many years within secondary schools, to provide guidance and support to Crowlands School to help them deliver an effective curriculum. He utilises the insight he has gained through his involvement in pastoral work as a Head of Sixth Form, in his role as Link Governor for Safeguarding.
Background
G approached Crowlands, which is his old School, to offer his assistance. They were pleased to welcome him onto their Governing body. This School has since become part of the Growing Together Federation with Newtons School in Rainham.
Resources
St Albans School allows G leave of absence in order to allow him to fulfil his role as a Governor.
Frequency
G attends two meetings per term at Crowlands; one Full Board meeting and one for the Curriculum Committee. He also makes additional visits linked to his safeguarding role.
