Specialist drama lessons and sharing of resources

Our head of drama has been spending an afternoon every week teaching Year 5 at Nash Mills School. This will allow the pupils specialist teaching and further collaboration with pupils at Abbot’s Hill.

AHS has a long history of sharing their drama costumes with local schools.  The Lion King was staged involving pupils in Year 4, 5 and 6.  A member of AHS staff who made costumes for over 200 pupils was approached by an colleague from Eastfield asking if they could borrow the costumes.

The residents of Gilbert House to attend their production of the Lion King.  This was followed by coffee and tea in the Drawing Room where some of the cast chatted to our visitors.  This was a lovely afternoon with many of our guest reminiscing about how they knew the school in the past.  The girls benefited from having feedback from their first audience.
