Sixth Form University Preparation Interviews
Year 13 Students from 3 secondary schools travelled to Skinners in Tunbridge Wells for Mock Interviews for the Oxbridge Universities.
The schools also bought with them teachers of varying specialties to lead the interviews to candidates form the other schools providing a more realistic mock interview experience for the pupils involved.
Aims
The aim is to provide realistic Interview Preparation for students prior to upcoming Oxbridge Interviews.
The sharing of academic specialist teachers across three schools allows for Sixth Form pupils to gain interview experience from both a specialist in their subject area and someone they are not familiar with.
Instant impact on the individuals who will gain experience, knowledge and confidence prior to their own interviews. Also to the three schools involved improves their Provision for higher education and programme as more opportunity to provide subject specialists and more realistic 'mock style' interviews.
Widens area of expertise to reach more pupils in secondary schools. Improving prospects for University education opportunities.

Organised by Skinners School in conjunction with our Head of 6th Form.

Hosted at Skinners School - classrooms/interview rooms required.
Teaching staff required. 10 Members of staff provided by Mayfield. 8 each by Skinners and Tonbridge Grammer.
Impact
The possibility of measuring impact in performance of participants at University interviews to be updated when offers received.
Qualitative - a form sent out to participants to ask for the impact on their confidence for University interviews.
Pupil Involvement
6th Form Pupils. 14 girls from Mayfield School. 98 6th form students in total.

This is ideally an annual event.
