Sixth Form Partnership with Harris Academy

In September 2023 King’s and Harris Academy Wimbledon embarked on a new sixth form partnership together.

This new project will see Harris and King’s work together on UCAS and Oxbridge preparation, academic talks, staff development and jointly run Friday afternoon community projects.

Aims

Pupils will develop skills beyond the classroom in a collaborative setting. The projects will challenge the pupils to explore new things and develop confidence, leadership and organisation skills.

Through supporting UCAS and Oxbridge preparation we will share our knowledge and expertise with pupils and teachers. 

Resources

Availability of teaching and non-teaching staff.

 

Impact

The anticipated outcomes are that the students’ and teachers' knowledge and self-confidence will be reinforced.

Pupil Involvement

All pupils involved are from the state sector in the sixth form. Mixed-gender.

Frequency

This project takes place at regular intervals on Friday afternoons.
