Singing Hands with Bristol Down Syndrome Trust

Singing Hands duo Suzanne and Tracy came to Bristol with The Bristol Down's Syndrome Trust and put on a fun-packed, multi-sensory session of songs and stories for the local community.

Designed to be fully-inclusive, the event was enjoyed by children of all ages and abilities and included Makaton Signing alongside many of the much-loved songs from the Singing Hands DVDs and CDs.

This was a ticketed, community event organised and hosted by Redmaids' High School on a non-school day.

A wide range of community-led events take place at the school's Redland Hall.

Redmaids' High Deputy Head Mrs Doarks supported the Downs Syndrome Trust and organised the event.

Resources

The event took place in the school's Redland Hall and the hire fee was waived for the event.

Pupil Involvement

Sixth Form Redmaids' High students volunteered to help with greeting visitors to the school
