Sharing the Taylor Hall Theatre with Local schools

The Theatre facilities have continued to be very much in demand and are frequently used by local theatre companies, performing arts and music groups and also local primary and secondary schools.

Sharing our facilities enables students from our neighbouring schools and community, to take part in drama events and productions on a larger scale than might be feasible otherwise, and to encourage a love of drama and performance in all of those involved. This is an ongoing and well established arrangement.

Resources

The Taylor Hall, our multi-use theatre, provides the perfect venue for performances. The theatre seats an audience of up to 500 people within the main hall and balcony. Specialist stage lighting and sound equipment helps to create a professional production. The stage dominates one wall, but the building is constructed so that performances can also take place in the round. 

Impact

Outcomes include an increased love of acting, theatre, performance, stage-craft and drama, with the hope of raised aspirations and improved confidence.
