Science partnership with state school

Bristol Free School at WOMAD For the first time Badminton partnered with Bristol Free School to deliver content outside of their School.  The School Outreach Office and a number of Year 11 pupils helped to train a small team of Lower Sixth from BFS and then gave two joint shows to the school’s Year 7s.  The BFS sixth form team then joined us to deliver all content at WOMAD.  Badminton are in talks to repeat in 2022-23, with the plan being for Bristol Free School to reach out into their local area for future shows alongside up, thereby increasing the number of Bristol schools that deliver and receive positive role models of young people engaged in science.
