Ri Science Show in Schools
We were delighted to welcome back the Royal Institution to Surbiton High for a 5th year running. This year their Science in Schools programme delivered their brand new ‘SUPER CELLS!’ workshop.
These shows were extremely popular, with a specialist presenter bringing huge excitement and scientific wonder to all those attending. As with all previous years, we were able to extend out the invitation to pupils from Y4 – Y9 from surrounding schools to join with Surbiton pupils, to enthuse and inspire through an explosive, practical introduction to science.
This year, the shows spread across 3 days, and reached a staggering 1600 pupils from primary and secondary schools across the Royal Borough of Kingston and nearby Elmbridge. A fantastic way for everyone to experience what and how our bodies use ‘SUPER CELLS’. Ri Science in Schools workshops are free to all, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Surbiton High School’s Parent Association.
