Q&A session with the Children’s Laureate

King's welcomed more than 100 pupils from four local schools to take part in a talk and Q&A session with the Children’s Laureate, Lauren Child (creator of Charlie & Lola).

Aims

To share the opportunity to hear from and meet a high profile author, and learn more about the creative process and inspire a passion for literature  in younger pupils. 

Background

An active school librarian based at King's runs a busy and high profile programme of visiting authors and other literature events and seeks to involve the local school network where possible. 

Resources

Each school group was supervised by a teacher or TA. More than 100 pupils attended for a whole day. 

Pupil Involvement

More than 100 pupils, aged from 7-10 years old, mixed gender groups.
