Primary Schools Science and Engineering Challenge
To round off our celebration of British Science Week, we held our annual Primary Schools Science and Engineering Challenge on Saturday. Congratulations to the winning team from Calton Primary School.
Teams from eight different schools across the county entered the competition and the challenge was to build a wind turbine with a rotator and blades and to measure the output, and then to build a tower for the turbine and measure the maximum carry load and height of the tower.
Thanks to our judges, Mike Healey and Lara Gilkes, who are members of King's STEAM committee and Mark Carter, King's Head of Science.
The event was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all who took part.
