Prep School visit to Queen Mary's Hospital to Perform Christmas Carols
Sixteen children form Prep 6, complete with Christmas hats and antlers, went to visit and sing to some elderly patients in Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton. They sang a variety of carols to begin with and then moved on to some jolly Christmas songs; some of the patients joined in with 'Frosty the Snowman,' 'Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer' and 'The Twelve Days of Christmas'. Finishing with a rousing rendition of 'We wish you a Merry Christmas', the appreciative audience responded enthusiastically. The children were equally delighted by the whole experience and sang cheerfully all the way back to school.
This was a wonderful opportunity for Ibstock Place School to play its part in the community and to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to some of our elderly neighbours.
