Prep Choral Day

Edgbaston High School for Girls Preparatory School will host a Choral Day. The event is open to pupils in Year 3, 4 and 5. The day will involve a series of interactive choral workshops, culminating in a performance at 2pm. 

Edgbaston High School have invited Chadvale School, Holywell School, West House School and St Georges to join the Choral Day, EHS offered this event free of charge.

 

Aims

Good practice and expertise will be shared between pupils and staff.

Pupils had the opportunity to take part in a choral day with a National Leader in this field.

Pupil enjoyment, self efficacy in singong and perfoming. Pupil wellbeing also.

A trainee teacher is also coming to observe the performance day.

Background

Edgbaston High School for Girls Preparatory School will host, once again a Choral Day. The event will place on Wednesday, 26 February 2020 and run from 10.30am-2.30pm. The event was open to pupils in Year 3, 4 and 5. The day involved a series of interactive choral workshops, culminating in a performance at 2pm. 

This will be the third time EHS have hosted the event.

EHS offered all the event management,logisitics, expertise and facilities free of charge.

Impact

Pupil enjoyment and expertise sharing is obvious and enjoyed throughout the day.

Increase of self efficacy seen over the course of the day.

Pupil Involvement

The event is open to pupils in Year 3, 4 and 5 both Boys and Girls.

Edgbaston High School have invited West house School Chadvale Primary School and Holywell Primary School to join the Choral Day, EHS offered this event free of charge.

This is an annual event at EHS.
