Norwich School were delighted to welcome the Norfolk Cambridge Society for the 11th in their excellent series of public lectures delivered by leading academics.
A packed house comprised Cambridge University alumni, school pupils, ONs, a large contingent of sixth formers from Jane Austen Academy and adults interested in the subject matter.
The evening kicked off with the presentation of awards for the Cambridge Society’s Student Awards, an annual competition offering prizes to Norfolk students offered places at Cambridge University. The prize winners were duly recognised by an appreciative audience.
The thought-provoking and engaging lecture, entitled "The Pursuit of Truth – Why it Really Matters" was delivered by the highly respected Dr Nikhil Krishnan, Fellow of Robinson College, Cambridge and Director of Studies in Philosophy. A lively Q&A session concluded a stimulating evening. The audience was pleased to be back on-site in person after a year of virtual events.
