Oxbridge Preparation 2020

Building on our partnership links from last year, this year we have been in touch with St Mary's Redcliffe in Bristol, St Augustine's and Royal Wootton Bassett Academy about sharing expertise across venues in support of the pupils in our area with Oxbridge interview preparations.

Aims

To jointly support pupils applying for places at Oxford or Cambridge from the Bath and Bristol area by pooling staff expertise for interviews and advice.

Background

This partnership has been growing over the years and is becoming an effective and extensive network.

Resources

This year, due to Covid, mock interviews were conducted online for the first time which was logistically very simple to organise. The only resources needed were the staff - we offered 5 staff from Monkton, but only two were called upon this time.

Frequency

This is an annual initiative involving a growing number of schools. We plan for it to become a sustainable way of approaching interview preparation.
