Over 230 Pupils and Staff join King's for a Play performance

22 November – King’s were delighted to welcome over 230 visiting children and staff at the Dress Rehearsal of "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" . We welcomed pupils from St Andrews, English Martyrs Catholic Primary, Chantry Community Academy, Hilltop and Shorne Primary schools, and hopefully inspired some of them to get involved in all forms of drama performances.

Impact

We were delighted to receive letters of thanks from the Chantry Community Academy and two of their pupils, a few quotes

"The show was amazing! The costumes and props were impressive and the children had clearly practiced their lines. The Lion costume was absolutely brilliant and it was evident that they had worked hard to produce such an amazing thing. It was hard to believe that children of such a young age could perform in such a professional and confident manner.
We were proud to be part of the rehearsal, hopefully all the performances were just as great."  Mrs S.Tumber Year 5 teacher

From Shorne Primary School

"Thank you for the opportunity, the children loved the performance."

I can tell you we have really enjoyed the invitations to come and the diverse offers. The hospitality towards children and staff has been amazing and we would definitely love to come back in the future.

One small area we have struggled with due to walking to your school is the earlier starts where our children need to be in school by 8am. However, we completely understand these timings are important in order to fully utilise the day.

Thank you so much for inviting us to these events.
