Onatti MFL Productions
King Edward's hosts three modern foreign language plays a year - French, Spanish and German. Aimed at specific age groups, each one is performed by native actors from each country.
Aims
Each play is performed by two native actors and the dialogue is entirely in the respective language.
Pupils are invited from local prep, primary and secondary schools depending on the target age of the Onatti play.
Resources
The King Edward's MFL staff attend each performance and the play is introduced by a member of the MFL staff.
Impact
Feedback is always very positive as the two actors are excellent. The plays are written in a format that is easy to understand and the narrative is at a slower pace.
Pupil Involvement
The whole of King Edward's Years 8, 9 and 10 attend each of the three productions.
Frequency
Onatti are invited and booked to attend three times a year. The plays primarily take place in November, February and March.
This is an annual and continuous schedule. Every production is a new play each year.
This year Onattie have performed -
French play 'Mon pere ne me comprend'
Spanish play 'En el Campanento'
German play ' Horoskop'
