OGA Lecture series

The Schools Old Girls Association organise one lecture per year, hosted by one of Malvern St James' alumnae. We have hosted a BAFTA award winning video game producer and a doctor, and had lectures spanning a variety of topics. Topics included;

A lecture on learning how to overcome fears, how to turn life's greatest adversities into greatest gifts and how to rewire your mindset for success, abundance and deep fulfilment.

A lecture to explore what modern computers, digital music and artificial intelligence have to do with an English aristocrat and computer pioneer born 200 years ago. 

A lecture about the journey into the world of medicine. Focusing on time at School, qualifications needed to study medicine and career to date which has taken the speaker all over the world. 

Aims

To provide students with the opportunity to hear from experts in their field and identify different opportunities for further education and career paths.

Impact

Over 100 girls from Malvern St James attended with students from local state schools also in attendance.
