Northern House Academy and St Edward’s pupils; 1:1 pupil interaction

Northern House Academy sits on the other side of South Parade from St Edward’s School in Summertown, North Oxford.

Northern House Academy is a special primary school for pupils who have been identified as having Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. All their pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) therefore SEND is at the centre of everything that they do at the school.

Once a week, St Edward’s pupils visit Northern House and interact with the pupils in their classrooms. This could be helping with their schoolwork or play time or helping them with a particular class topic. The Northern House pupils also come into our School Library to play games, read, chat and spend time with the St Edward’s pupils.

St Edward’s School also provides the catering for Northern House Academy during term times at cost price
