Netball workshop with Tracey Neville
90 primary pupils from 9 schools took part in a netball workshop with former England netball coach, Tracey Neville and senior GSAL netball players. The workshop was to commemorate the opening the new Sports Dome, an indoor sports facility with three netball courts.
Aims
To provide a fun, active and memorable netball training workshop for primary pupils in local schools.
To reinforce the partnership between primary schools and GSAL, particularly as similar training activities can be used by teachers back in their schools.
To raise awareness of the new Sports Dome as a facility for the community as the facility maybe of use to schools for indoor sports events in the future.
Background
GSAL has a partnership with Tracey Neville as she has been working with GSAL's senior netball teams.
Ongoing partnership opportunities with the primary schools. Sport provided variety as previous events were science, maths and literacy related.

Impact
Each schools received a signed netball and each pupils received a netball key chain as a memento.
Positive feedback from all of the schools during and after the event, both from staff and pupils.
Pupil Involvement
Years 5 and 6. Mixed gender. There were 10 pupils from independent school (GSAL) and 80 pupils from the state sector.
