Mock Oxbridge Interviews - Michaelmas 2022

Throughout November, mock Oxbridge interviews have been held online for partner school pupils. A total of 85 local state school students received individual interviews from 34 volunteer interviewers (Eton Beaks, Eton Alumni, Partnership Teachers, and an Eton Parent). In addition, over 200 pupils from 60 state schools also attended four online Oxbridge preparation webinars. These webinars were run in collaboration with Dr Organ, Brasenose College Oxford.

Impact

After their mock interviews, 100% of participating pupils said they felt more confident for their official interview. 

The Head of Sixth Form at The Windsor Boys’ School, said of the Oxbridge support provided by Eton: “Eton provide some really valuable, and much needed, support for local state schools through their Eton Connect programme. We are lucky to have Eton on our doorstep so that our boys can make the most of the offered opportunities. This year, 11 students from The Windsor Boys’ School gained a place on the Eton Summer University Preparation Course. Of these, five boys have made an application to Oxbridge, and they have all made full use of the workshops and mock interviews that are run by Eton. I hope that our students are offered an Oxbridge place: if they are, some of the credit will certainly go to the Eton Connect programme!”
