Malvern St James - Law Society Lectures

Students from local schools attended the Malvern St James Law Society’s annual Law Society Lecture. A professor at Downing College, Cambridge, shared his experience in the legal world, his initial approach to Law and his interpretation of Law as a diverse and two-fold concept. The professor gave a stirring and inspirational speech, with advice concerning applications for Law courses at university, personal statements, expectations from a legal career and the numerous paths a legal career may lead to.

Aims

The lecture aimed to provide insight for those students considering studying Law courses at university and to share the benefit obtained from the school’s relationships within top universtities.

Resources

The lecture and workshop were organised by the members of the Malvern St James Law Society supported by the Director of Sixth Form.

Impact

All attendees benefitted from an enhanced understanding of constitutional law and a broadened awareness of the study of Law at University. Furthermore they were able to learn about personal statements, expectations from a legal career and the numerous paths a Law career may lead to.
