Library Book Donations.

Lingfield College Prep school donated a huge number of now unused library books to the charity 'Rockinghorse'. 

Aims

To provide a use for a huge number of library books no longer needed by our prep school library. 

Firstly, we approached our partner primary schools but they had no need for the books. So we looked for alternative parties and discovered the Rockinghorse donation box based in Oxted. 

The books will be donated to sick children who are in need of toys, books, clothes etc. 

Background

One of our partnership officers who is based in Oxted was made aware of the Rockinghorse donation box. As there was no immediate beneficiary in our existing partnership hub we believed this was the best option for the resources.

Impact

While we are unable to trace the specific destinations and impact of the books we donated, we know the cause with which they will be donated. Lingfield College hopes the vast number of donated books can prove useful and entertaining to children who need them. 

Frequency

Should our partnership schools have no need for future donations of books, toys, clothes or applicable resources we shall donated them to the Rockinghorse donation box in Oxted again.
