LCA Stage Academy

Lingfield College provided free rehearsal space for LCA Stage Academy 'professional practice' group. 

This team of actors are competing in the All England Theatre Festival. Through to the second round after winning the Southern Counties Drama Festival. 

LC provided the auditorium as rehearsal space for their play. 

Aims

To provide LCA with rehearsal space of an adequate size to rehearse their show. 

Due to scheduling issues with local theatres, LCA needed a larger space than usual to work in. 

Background

Mr Harris who works at Lingfield College, teaches and directs this class of LCA students. 

He approached the school requesting use of the auditorium as rehearsal space.

School Facilities. 

Mr Harris who works at both Lingfield College and LCA. 

Time used was a few hours on one evening at the start of May.

LCA shared this activity on their social media. 

Impact

Rehearsal space needed to feel big enough to replicate that of a full sized theatre to be a useful rehearsal space. 

Pupil Involvement

Students ages ranged from 10 - 17. 

One from an independent school, others from state. 

Frequency

This was a single event. However LC would be open to allow LCA to use their rehearsal space in the future.
