King's Fundraising for Disabled Horse Riding

On Friday 13 October 2023 we were delighted to present a cheque to Cobbes Meadow for £7,700 following the hard work of our pupils who have raised money through several methods, including open mic night and quizzes.

Cobbes Meadow is a horse riding centre for children and adults with disabilities, facilitating over 3,000 rides per year. The money will be used towards the purchase of two new horses (Billy and Tuppence), as well as livery and advertising costs. It was lovely to meet with Cobbes Meadow who enjoyed seeing the School, meeting pupils and were incredibly grateful for the generous donation.

Aims:

Background: This charity was selected by our charities co-ordinator after research.

Resources: The fundraising has involved children throughout the School using their time and the School's facilities to host events, during the 2022/23 Academic year.

Impact: The funds generated will allow the charity to offer further riding experiences to its members

Frequency: These funds have been raised through out the 2022/23 Academic year.

Aims

To provide a focus on raising funds for well deserving local charities.
