Kent College PSR teacher is a school governor at Hunton CEP School, Bishops La, Maidstone ME15 0SJ. She attends governor meetings throughout the year and actively supports the school in events, such as celebrations services at Christmas, Easter and Y6 leavers.
Aims
She is an experienced RS and Sociology teacher. She has extensive experience in school management having had roles such as Head of Division and Deputy Head int eh past. She is now predominantly a Foster Carer but still works part-time as Teacher in Charge of Philosophy, Society and Religion. She uses her experiences in both education and the care sector to help advise and guide Hunton in their strategic development.
Background
This teacher is an active member of the fostering community carrying out roles such as Fostering Ambassador, IT Champion and Mental Health support. She is also a member of her local church and is part of the Youth Ministry team, specifically working with teenagers in the local area. Jen also volunteers for the charity The Cinnamon Trust, whereby she supports elderly people to remain with their pets by assisting with dog walking and vet visits.

She is given time off school to attend meetings and other events throughout the school year.
Impact
She is keen to develop the provisions and resources for small village primary schools. with a vested interest in the support given to Children in Care and how staff are trained to understand the needs of children with trauma. This teacher is also a Mental Health First Aid England Instructor and offers training (specifically for youth mental health) to staff both at Kent College and Hunton as well as to foster carers working in partnership with Kent Fostering.
