Junior Music Days

This is a day of fun musical workshops held at our school. Local schools are invited to join our music staff and members of our choir in a day of making music, culminating in a performance to parents at the end of the day.

Aims

A fun collaboratve musical performance - 

Students were split into 3 groups  - particpated as solo singers, strings or as part of the junior band. THey had the opportunity to sing or play with the ensemble and performed in fornt of parents at the end of the day. 

 

Background

Our new Music dept. team are always looking for opportunities for our boys to perform in the community and work with different people. This is their latest project 2019 and they will resume when covid conditions ease.

Resources

3 music staff for the whole school day. 

Schhool hall and music rooms used all day

Impact

25 primary school students enjoyed specialist workshops and had the thrill of a superb performance in front of parents at the end of the day.
