Joint Further Maths Workshop with Grey Court School

In the Summer term, 10 Grey Court pupils came to Ibstock to take part in a workshop led by our experienced further maths teacher.  The focus was on stretch and challenge, particularly for the sorts of questions that might come up in an interview for a maths/engineering/physics course at a top university.

8 Ibstock LVIs (year 12) and 10 Grey Court year 12s were able to collaborate on various mathematical problems.  There was an emphasis on graph sketching, a topic regularly assessed in both entrance tests and interviews.

Our maths teacher was then able to share many resources with the pupils, so that they can continue practising at home.
