Ipswich Town Football Club Foundation Coaches 

Yesterday we were delighted to welcome the Ipswich Town Football Club Foundation coaches to our school to work with our Year 7 cohort. 

One of our girls is already in the pathway programme, it was a great opportunity for the whole year group to benefit from such expert coaching and to play some football.  

 

 

 

Background

Nick Platt, Director of Sport, said, “We are really grateful to the Ipswich Town coaches for coming in and leading the session for our Year 7’s. The pupils clearly benefited from their expertise and the passion they have for the game. It was also encouraging to hear how impressed the coaches were with our pupils and the quality of our facilities. We hope that the relationship with the Ipswich Town Foundation will continue to grow.”

Pupil Involvement

The girls gained much praise from the coaches due to the high energy and engagement and quality of play shown by our pupils in their session. The Lionesses have done a great job inspiring so many to take up the game and this session will no doubt have enthused a few more. 

The boys’ session was equally as positive, with all the pupils learning new skills and playing with lots of enthusiasm. Some of the interplay on display was excellent.
