Inter-schools debating competition

Five schools took part in the inter-schools debating competition lead by our Head of English Matt Oliver. Nus Ghani, our local MP kindly started proceedings via a zoom call before we had two motions: Should the UK remove their foreign aid and should the house ban the consumption of meat. It was a great morning and all students benefitted hugely from one another

Cross curriculum days for students in the wealden area

Impact

All students were fully immersed in the debating format, giving time and space to listen to the views of others whilst at the same time forming a convincing argument for their motion
