Home-start Charity Concert

Independent and state primary and senior schools came together to form a Junior and Senior combined choir, to perform at a Home-start concert.

Aims

The aim of the concert was to raise money for the York branch of the Home-start charity.

The pupils also benefit from  singing as part of a combined choir and learning from each other and the experience.

Background

The event is held every other year, with the first event taking place ten years ago.

Resources

Planning meetings take place before the event, schools rehearse set pieces independently and then come together on the day to rehearse and perform in the concert.
