Hockey Masterclass for Highnam CofE Primary Academy

On Wednesday 23rd November we had a great morning of hockey for 30 Year 5 pupils from Highnam C of E Primary School. The majority of pupils were experiencing hockey for the first time, and they all had fun participating in the dribbling, passing and shooting exercises set-up by Mr James.

It was also an opportunity for our Year 12 Higher Sports Leader Award students to engage with a lovely enthusiastic group. We finished the morning off with some team relays that incorporated all the skills they had learnt, which the pupils thoroughly enjoyed.

We look forward to working with Highnam and the other Primary QuEST schools in the future. This initiative is in conjunction with the partnerships already developed through the Gloucester Schools Sports Network and our commitment to help provide opportunities for local primary school pupils.
