Henrietta Barnett School Symposium

The annual cross-curricular symposium, run by UCS and Henrietta Barnett School is now is its fourth year. Year 8 pupils worked groups to research and prepare presentations on “Issues in Contemporary Society”. The event provides an opportunity for pupils to work with, and learn from, each other towards shared goals and to apply and develop their research and presentation skills when working with new and unfamiliar material under timed conditions.

Impact

I was a little bit nervous beforehand, but the girls at HBS were very welcoming and we were all really enthusiastic about our topic. I also learned that sometimes it’s more important to listen to others than to just say what’s in your head.” Year 8 pupil, UCS.
