Heber Primary Swimming Lessons

Alleyn’s School welcomes local School, Heber Primary, during the Easter half term, for annual intensive learn to swim lessons. Two classes from year groups 5 and 6 come to the School for a daily 45 minute sessions throughout the week.

Resources

The School hired the pool from the 26th March – 28th March for 2 hours each day, classes were allocated hour session each days.

The swimming pool was hired free of charge for the duration of the hire. Swimming teaching was administered Alleyn’s staff whilst Alleyn’s lifeguards were also on duty throughout. The only costs incurred by the School were to cover the cost of the swimming teachers and lifeguards involved.

Impact

The primary School pupils were assessed on their swimming ability during their first session. Swimming  teachers worked with the pupils in groups and by the end of the week, the pupils displayed a vast improvement in their swimming ability.

“I would just like to thank your swimming staff for the excellent teaching that they provided our children last week.  Many of our children could not swim one stroke, and by the end of the week, they felt massively more confident in the water.  Your staff were fantastic, and the experience had a very positive impact on our children.”
