Heads Together Lunch

A lunch hosted by Oakwood School for local Headteachers, from both local state and independent schools, to promote possible future partnerships.

Aims

To proactively engage the leaders of local and independent schools together to look at future partnerships that will benefit the children.

Background

An Oakwood initiative to engage local schools to see how we can work together and support each other.

Resources

This was the first of this type of event hosted at Oakwood School.  Local headteachers and the Oakwood Senior Leadership Team attended for discussions over lunch, provided by the school.

Impact

It has opened up channels of communication and we have since had pupils invited to join events in school.

Pupil Involvement

Pupils were not involved in the lunch however as a result of the lunch and engaging with the local schools several events have since taken place and are planned for the future.

Frequency

We aim to host further events to maintain the links, hopefully once an academic year.
