Hanham School - Maths Mentoring
BGS 6th form students accompanied by a Maths teacher regularly visit Hanham Wood Academy to deliver maths support to Year 11 students, helping to enhance their GCSE maths work and to realise their potential on their higher level GCSE papers.
Impact
Hanham strongly agree that 'Our partnership with BGS provides a positive impact for a number of people within my organisation.'
Strongly agree that 'Outreach by BGS staff/pupil(s) has improved the service we provide to our community'.
'Staff, students and Parents alike are extremely grateful for all of the support Graham has provided as part of the outreach program. Not only are our 9 Level 2 Further Maths students receiving high quality input towards their qualification, but they are also receiving outstanding marking and feedback, enabling them to build on specific areas of weakness. Graham has also given us access to the BGS Chess competition which 4 of our year 7 students thoroughly enjoyed competing in. We will look to continue this partnership next year.'
Pupil Involvement
10 L6th students at BGS. 8 GCSE Year 11 pupils at Hanham.
Frequency
