Greenpower - Green Goblin Annual event

Seaford College provides and hosts a round of the Goblin Greenpower championship. The school enters a ‘Goblin’ challenger into the event with students from Wilberforce Primary who build the car in a weekly club. A good number of primary schools (locally and further a field) enter the event. The entries vary it was 15 teams with 20 persons per team (2015) and almost double that number in 2019. 

Aims

Promoting sustainable engineering to young people.

Resources

Use of tennis courts, pavilion, car parking, toilets, gazebos, refreshments provided and access to first aid. Goodie bags for each team - such as highlighters, fruit bars, postcard, chocolate bars.  

Safe site provided including tennis court, car park, pavilion, toilets. Review risk assessment undertaken by Greenpower.

Prep School Students - Years 6-8.

Annually and all day event.
