Governance at Highgate Wood School

The Learning Support Coordinator is a co opted governor with responsibility for SEND.

Aims

The school is a very successful, mixed comprehensive, catering for over 1400 students of all abilities and backgrounds. The role of the SEN Link Governor is to have specific oversight of the school’s arrangements for SEND and disabilities.

Background

The Learning Support Coordinator was seeking the opportunity to support a local, maintained school, and is delighted to be taking on this role as of February 2020.

Resources

Time for Caroline Curtis to be away from the College to attend meetings etc. 

Frequency

Attendance at regular committee meetings, including curriculum committee.  Termly meeting with the SENCo.
