Gloucester Schools Sports Network - Quicksticks Tournament

The Gloucester School Sports network has been set up to support local schools and help to develop opportunities for all young people to experience worthwhile, enjoyable and quality PE and School Sports.

They aim to link together schools so as to enhance and increase opportunities for all. By this collaborative approach more will be made possible as the sum of the whole is greater than the units working apart.

King's is delighted to be part of this partnership, sharing our facilities and offering the expertise of our staff, as well as development opportunities for our students.

Aims

On Thursday 6th April, King's were delighted to host the Primary Schools Quicksticks Tournament yesterday, organised by the Gloucester Schools Sports Network and supported by Gloucester City Hockey Club.

Impact

Eight local primary schools with pupils in Years 5 and 6 attended and King's students studying for their Higher Sports Leadership Award, together with some Fourth Form students, helped with the coaching.

It was a fabulous morning, thoroughly enjoyed by all the pupils who played.
