French Lessons at Wolvercote Primary School

A member of St Edward's staff attends Wolvercote Primary school once a week to teach French to year 5 and 6 pupils.

Wolvercote expressed a need for more resource in their delivery of MFL.

Background

The SLT at Wolvercote Primary School approached St Edward's School and asked for help delivering MFL lessons to the Years 5 and 6 2 years ago.

Teaching happens at Wolvercote Primary School for 1.5hrs each week 

Impact

Feedback form Wolvercote Primary School has been very positive. The time where St Edward's staff are teaching French allows the Primary School teacher planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time.

The pupils at Wolvercote Primary School are in Years 5/6.

Frequency

This happen weekly during term time. There are X3 Year 5/6 classes and each class receives 30 minutes of French of teaching each week.
