French lessons

A member of our Modern Foreign Languages Department provides French teaching to Year 5 students in one of our local primary schools.

Aims

The aim is to support the teaching of modern foreign languages at Key Stage 2 and share the excellent skills of our teachers with maintained schools.

Impact

50 Year 5 students benefit from specialist language teaching, and especially during the period of lockdown due to Covid-19, the St Helen's teacher has continued to send materials and links to online French resources to St Nicolas, to share with students as part of their remote learning package.
