Forest School Session

The Head of Outdoor Education at Kent College welcomed Year 2 students from Capel Primary for a forest school session.

Aims

The aim of the project was to give external primary school children the opportunity to use Kent College's facilities and enhance their curriculum using resources that would not be available in their own school.

Background

The opportunity was identified by the Heads from both schools.

The schools already had established links from Science collaborations.

Resources

Kent College's Forest School was used on the day of the visit.

The Head of Outdoor Education, ran the sessions with assistance from Capel's staff.

Impact

The students made wooden pendants, mud faces on trees, designed a picture out of natural materials and made patterns on cottons from leaves. It was a very enjoyable experience all round.
