Football coaching at Harris Academy, Wimbledon
King's pupils coach Year 7 and 8 pupils in football at this recently opened South Wimbledon school.
Aims
To improve the football skills of the key stage three pupils.
To develop leadership and empathy skills in the King's pupils.
Background
Harris Academy Wimbledon and King's wanted to take part in more cross-sector projects. Many King's pupils are passionate about football and the Harris Academy sports department mentioned that they would be keen to work together with the King's pupils to develop football skills further in their school. Therefore, there was a mutual benefit for both schools in the establishment of the new project.

Impact
A baseline questionnaire was carried out and a subsequent one will be completed halfway through the year. It is anticipated that the project will improve the football skills of all involved in addion to devloping the leadership skills of the older pupls involved.

Frequency
Weekly at Harris Academy Wimbledon on Friday afternoons. It is anticipated that this project will run annually.
