Football Club at Goldington Green Academy
Two Bedford School Sixth Formers have been running a lunchtime football club for Year 3 and Year 4 pupils at Goldington Green Academy, to teach the younger children new sporting skills and encourage them to exercise during their lunch break.
At the same time, our Lower Sixth form boys are learning to develop their coaching skills and engage with children much younger than them.
Aims
To run a club for Year 3 and 4 children who have shown promise in football, in order to provide them with an opportunity to play some more football and further develop their skills.

Two boys have been attending Goldington Green Academy once a week on a Monday lunchtime since September 2019, as part of our ‘Service Programme’.
This is a volunteering programme where Sixth Formers use their skills and time to help other people in the wider community, whilst gaining valuable experience themselves.
